The CrewVenture privacy team is responsible for processing personal data under the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

2. Collection and processing of personal data

CrewVenture processes our users' personal data where necessary to provide a functioning platform, its content, and its services:

• Registration and account data (email address, name, profile image)
• Group and planning information (crews, expenses, destinations, activities)
• Technical log data (IP address, browser type, access times)
• Usage and analytics data (only with explicit consent)

3. Legal bases for processing

• Performance of a contract and steps before entering into a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR)
• Legitimate interests in platform security and optimization (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR)
• Consent for product analytics and optional features (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR)

4. Analytics services (PostHog)

If you consent under “Analytics & Cookies” in settings, we use data-minimized analytics events (PostHog) to understand and improve use of the platform. You can withdraw your consent at any time in your account settings, with effect for the future.

5. Retention and data subject rights

Personal data is deleted when the purpose for storing it no longer applies or when you exercise your right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), unless statutory retention duties require otherwise.

You have the right of access (Art. 15 GDPR), rectification (Art. 16 GDPR), erasure (Art. 17 GDPR), restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR), data portability (Art. 20 GDPR), and the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority (Art. 77 GDPR).
